What are the new dates for the Congress?

The congress is 27 June – 1 July 2021.  Refresher course, Satellite Symposia and Hands On Workshops are scheduled 27 June 2020. 

What precautions will IASP take to ensure attendee safety in light of COVID-19?

Our primary concern is the health and welfare of our members and Congress attendees. We continue to carefully monitor information and advisories from the WHO and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and consult local authorities in Amsterdam on appropriate sanitary, health, and other procedures to maintain a healthy event.

Is the program content going to change?

The excellent scientific program already created for August 2020 will remain as intact as possible for the June 2021 Congress, aside from any necessary adjustments. Please check the itinerary planner for the latest program updates.


I have already completed registration. Do I need to register again for the 2021 Congress?

No. All paid registrations will automatically be transferred to the 2021 Congress. No action is required to keep your registration. 

When is the early registration deadline?

The early registration deadline is now 10 February 2021. Starting 11 February 2021, registration rates increase to regular rates.

I received financial aid. Will that still be valid for the 2021 Congress?

Yes. All financial aid awards are valid for 2021 Congress. All details of the award (registration fees and monetary payments) are the same. If you have already registered, the registration will be transferred automatically. If you have not registered, the complimentary registration will be available when you register.

I registered for the 2020 Congress, but cannot attend the Congress in June 2021. How can I request a refund?

Send an email to by 2 June 2020 for a full refund. After 2 June 2020, a $100 cancellation fee will apply.

If I cancel now, can I register again later?

My poster was accepted for the 2020 Congress. Do I need to resubmit the poster for the 2021 Congress?

Anyone whose poster was accepted for the 2020 Congress will be given the opportunity to update their poster submission with new results or submit a new poster for review. More information will be available soon.

Will IASP be accepting more poster submissions?

Yes! Late breaking poster submissions will open in October 2020.


I have already made a hotel reservation. How do I cancel or modify it?

All attendees will need to cancel their existing reservations. You should have received an email from RAI Housing Service asking if you want to cancel the reservation. New reservations will be required once the hotel reservation site goes live. Please email questions directly to

I used a third-party site to make hotel reservations. How do I cancel?

IASP can only assist with reservations made via the RAI Housing website. If you made your reservation directly with the hotel or through a third party (Expedia,, etc.), you must contact them directly to cancel any reservations. 


My company has an outstanding invoice from the 2020 Congress. How should we proceed?

All initial deposit invoices should be paid in the next 90 days. Once payment has been received, a receipt with new Congress dates will be issued. If you have a final invoice or balance due invoice, please wait until you receive a revised  invoice from IASP.

We want to remain as an exhibitor for 2021 Congress. Should we resubmit the exhibitor/ supporter request?

There is no need to resubmit the request. All bookings for the 2020 Congress will apply for the 2021 Congress. Please send an email to  to confirm that you want to remain as an exhibitor/ sponsor for the 2021 Congress. IASP staff will be in contact with all exhibitors and supporters regarding information for the 2021 Congress. 

We cannot commit to the 2021 Congress. How can we request a refund?
